BOOK FAIR
The Fall Book Fair will be December 2-6, 2024!
Each student will have the opportunity to shop the Book Fair during the week. The Book Fair will also be open during Season's Readings on Wednesday, December 4th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. where families are able to shop together.
Please be sure to set up your student's eWallet, if desired. eWallets are the cashless way to shop the fair! eWallets are updated in real-time, but with the spotty service at the school, we want to make sure everything is ready to go when your student is ready to shop!
eWallets are especially helpful for those who may misplace cash sent with them. Windsor Farm PTO is not responsible for cash sent to school with your student. Volunteers will give a small plastic Ziploc bag to hold change and the receipt if needed, but we cannot be responsible for what happens to change once it is given back to your student.

FAQs
When is my student going to be at the Book Fair?
Students will typically go to the Book Fair during their media time. There are some Friday classes that will visit the Book Fair earlier in the week to allow volunteers time to close up the fair. Check the schedule below for when your student's class will be at the fair!

HOW CAN I SET UP MY STUDENTS E-WALLET?
Scholastic eWallets can be set up using this link: eWallet Set Up
- Select "Create Account" to sign in to an existing account or create a new Scholastic account.
- After you have logged into your account, you are able to set up your students eWallet by selecting the radio button that indicates you are a parent creating an eWallet for a student.
- Fill in the required information - Student Name, Grade, and Teacher (Last Name Only)
- Select "CREATE EWALLET"
- From there, you will need to fund the eWallet using one of two options: Using a Credit Card OR by inviting Friends and Family to contribute funds to the eWallet.
Amounts left on e-wallets can be rolled over to future fairs if they are not used during the Fall fair. Here are the Scholastic eWallet FAQs for your reference.
CAN I SEE WHAT’S AVAILABLE BEFORE THE FAIR?
Yes! Your student should bring home preview flyers the week before Thanksgiving break. If it didn't make it home, you can access the flyers online here:
MY KID BRINGS HOME TCHOTCHKES INSTEAD OF BOOKS. CAN YOU STOP THEM FROM DOING THAt?
We understand that the lure of the "treasure table" to kids is real – we definitely have our share of UV pens, pointers, and random squishy things over here. Book Fair volunteers will make every effort to ensure that every purchase is accompanied by a book, if funds are available. Ultimately, we leave purchase decisions up to the students – it is not our place to say “No”. If you feel strongly about purchase decisions your student may make, please speak to them before the fair.

MY STUDENT BOUGHT A BOOK THAT WE ALREADY OWN / BOUghT SOMETHING I DON’T WANT THEM TO HAVE. CAN WE RETURN IT?
Yes! BUT all returns need to be made by 10:30 a.m. on Friday. We cannot process returns after this time.
THE BOOK MY STUDENT WANTED WAS SOLD OUT. IS THERE ANOTHER WAY THEY CAN PURCHASE?
Yes! Even though we make every attempt to keep things in stock – sometimes things sell out. If that happens, you can visit our fair online! You can shop the online fair through the school’s Scholastic Book Fair page: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/windsorfarmelementaryschool
MY STUDENT WAS ABSENT THE DAY their class went to the FAIR. CAN THEY STILL stop by to shop?
Of course! Our fair is open Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00p.m.. On Friday the fair will be open from 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.. Students are welcome to come by (with staff permission) anytime within that window. CAN MY STUDENT USE THEIR MONEY TO PURCHASE something for ANOTHER STUDENT?
As policy, we do not knowingly let other students use their money to purchase books or other items from the fair for other students.
The PTO has money in the budget set aside to cover tax for those who forget, slight overages, and books for students who do not otherwise have funds. If you wish to contribute to this fund, you may make a donation in one of two ways:
- Donate to the PTO's Community Fund. The Community Fund is used to support our families by sponsoring the costs of events throughout the year, including the Book Fair.
- Donate to the "Share the Fair" fund on Scholastic's website when adding money to your student's eWallet. We use these funds exclusively for the purchase of books for students during the Book Fair. Our goal is to make sure each student is able to leave the Book Fair with a book in hand.
