☘️ Springing into March ☘️

Spring is blooming, and we’re feeling lucky as we head into a busy and exciting month! There are so many ways to get involved, from exciting events to volunteer opportunities that make a real difference. Here are some highlights:

🌮 Skip cooking dinner on Wednesday, March 5th and come to Broadneck Grill and Cantina for our Spirit Night

🎨 Join us for Family Art Night on Friday, March 14th from 6:00-8:00 p.m.! No materials, skills, or experience needed - just a creative spirit and a desire to have fun! Please be sure to register to ensure we have enough supplies

📚 Support our community by participating in our "Share the Fair" campaign that starts on Monday, March 17th

WE NEED A SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR!

We almost have our team assembled for the Color Splash Dash – but we need someone who can leverage their network, solicit donations from local businesses, and help us meet our $30,000 goal for the Outdoor Discovery Center!

Interested?

Here are some more details:

This can be done 100% remotely.
Commitment is approximately 1-5 hours per week.
Everything you need will be set up for you including:
- Letter from the PTO
- Sponsorship levels flyer
- Online donation portal

You don't have to be at the event (but we'd love you to be there!)
You will have support every step of the way

Main responsibilities:

Contacting local businesses to solicit donations
Answer questions on Color Splash Dash/Outdoor Discovery Center Sponsorship
Collect any collateral from Sponsors (marketing material, logos)
Working with other members of the PTO and Color Splash Dash team to ensure that all sponsorship benefits are realized.

Did you know that every other AACPS school on the Broadneck Peninsula has some type of sponsorship program that they benefit from? Let's make sure we aren't letting these opportunities pass by at Windsor Farm!

Family Art Night - March 14

Join us for Family Art Night – a FREE night of creativity and connection at Windsor Farm Elementary on Friday, March 14, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.!

Families can participate in two fun projects:

Individual Project – Create a space-themed collage that’s out of this world!
Collaborative Project – Work as a team to piece together a colorful mosaic!

Choose to join both sessions or just one:

🕕 Session 1: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
🕖 Session 2: 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Family Art Night is a free event sponsored by Windsor Farm PTO. Free family events embody our core values of inclusivity and community engagement, as well as advance our mission of fostering relationships through intentional programming.

Spring Spirit Wear Sale

Spring Spirit Wear sales will open on March 10! In addition to some new clothing items, the spring sale will feature an exclusive Maryland x WFES plush blanket!

There are only a limited number of these blankets available – once they are gone, they're gone!

The Spring Spirit Wear Sale will run March 10 to April 11. More information will be sent home the week of March 10.

Spirit Night - March 5

Join us on Wednesday, March 5th for a delicious way to support Windsor Farm PTO at Broadneck Grill and Cantina!

When: All day – lunch or dinner!
How: Dine-in or carry-out!
Why: 10% of all food sales will be donated back to Windsor Farm PTO!

A flyer will be sent home – be sure to bring it with you! Let’s eat, enjoy, and give back to our school community!

📚 Share the Fair at Windsor Farm 📚

The Spring Book Fair is just around the corner!

The best part of Book Fair Week is the pure JOY on every student’s face as they explore and choose their next great read! At Windsor Farm, our PTO Book Fair Committee is dedicated to making sure that every student who wants a book can get one – because we believe every child deserves the magic of reading.

We also recognize that not every family has the means to shop the fair, which is why we’re excited to launch our annual Share the Fair campaign!

👉 Through Scholastic’s website, families can contribute to the "Share the Fair" fund by electing to contribute when adding money to their student's e-Wallet.

📅 E-Wallets will be available on our school's Scholastic page on March 17th.

🏫 Any donations that are made to the fund go directly to students at Windsor Farm. Your generous donations will help us put books into the hands of more students at our school!

The Spring Book Fair will be April 7-11, 2025. More information about the fair will come home later this month.

PTO Elections for 2025-26 School Year

Each year, the Windsor Farm PTO elects a new Executive Board in accordance with our bylaws. As we look ahead to the next school year, we want to share that two board members will not be seeking re-election.

Fundraising Updates

Thanks to your support, we have raised a total of $1243.23 from the following fundraisers:

$170.15 from Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night in December
$986.07 from Valentine's Candy Grams
$87.01from February PJ Day

This money goes into our General Operating Fund, which we use to provide essential program and activity support to our Windsor Farm community.
