STEERING COMMITTEE
The Steering Committee is dedicated to shaping the future of our school community, programs, and events. Comprised of passionate parents, teachers, and administrators, this committee works collaboratively to set long-term goals, develop initiatives, and implement strategies that enhance the educational experience for all students. By analyzing current programs, assessing community needs, and exploring innovative solutions, the Steering Committee ensures that our school remains a vibrant, supportive, and forward-thinking environment.
Responsibilities of the Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is responsible for developing the goals for the next school year and will be voted on during the last PTO meeting of the year.
To do this, the Steering Committee:
- Conducts surveys and gathers feedback from parents, teachers, and students to identify pressing issues and priorities.
- Engages a diverse group of stakeholders, including parents, teachers, administrators, and community members, in the planning process to gather a wide range of perspectives and ideas.
- Identifies immediate needs and opportunities within the school community.
- Establishes a vision for the school’s future that aligns with its mission and values.
- Sets specific, achievable goals for the next academic year.
- Establishes a system for ongoing evaluation and feedback, ensuring that the strategic plan remains relevant and effective.
- Communicates the long-term vision and strategic plan to the entire school community.
We are looking for a committee chair and members to serve on the committee. Ideally this committee will have at least one representative from each grade level, a teacher representative, a member of administration, and representation from the PTO Board.
